Hit the local bike trail at 7 AM for my 7 miles out and 7 more miles back. Now deemed the Lucky 7.
Last Saturday it wasn't a lucky 7 as I got over heated. This morning I did fine. I ran a 10:38 pace including the walk breaks. About a 2 1/2 hour workout. Slowed the pace down a bit. Set my Garmin Forerunner 201 to beep after each mile so that I could take a short walk break. I was very aware of not over working my body on the 14 miles today BECAUSE I'm running a 4 mile race tonight and then running a 10-miler race tomorrow morning. This will be my first "test" in my marathon and Goofy build up.
Next post I'll let you know how 4 miles went. It's a race through town at night. Fun run time!
